On September 20th, 2016 in the framework of the project “Train the Messenger - EU, Human Rights and Family Values” the Levan Mikeladze Foundation held the fourth workshop for  religious Muslim leaders of Kvemo Kartli region.

On September 13, 2016 the Levan Mikeladze Foundation held the second meeting of Agriculture and Regional Development Working Group on the topic - “Development of Agricultural Extension System in Georgia”. The meeting was organized in the framework of the project - “National Convention on the EU in Georgia”. The project is carried out in partnership with the Slovak Foreign Policy Association (SFPA) and with the financial support of the Slovak Aid and Europe Foundation. 

The meeting took place in the National Library of Georgia. It was chaired by Mr. Lasha Inauri, The Head of Euro Integration Department of the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia and by Mr. Ilia Kvitaishvili, founder of Rural and Agricultural Policy and Development Institute.

The working group was composed with representatives of government bodies, NGOs, diplomatic missions of various states and the Delegation of the European Union. In total, there were 15 organizations represented in the session.

On September 3rd, in the framework of the Project "Train the messenger- EU, Human Rights and Family Values" Levan Mikeladze Foundation held the working group meeting with Kvemo Kartli Muslim religious leaders. The meeting took place at Marneuli. 

During the meeting the invited experts made their presentations: Oliver Reisner (Jean Monnet Professor of European and Caucasian Studies at Ilia State University) and Vakhushti Menabde  (Associate Professor Law Major at Ilia State University).

The discussion was dedicated to Religious Freedom, Family Values, The rights of religous minorities in Georgia and EU. The project was implemented with the financial support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Georgia.

On August 9th, in the framework of the project "Capacity Development of Civil Society in the Regions Essentially Populated with Ethnic Minorities  in Georgia", Levan Mikeladze Foundation organized the round-table discussion for the representatives of Kvemo Kartli Media, NGOs and local municipality. The discussion took place in Marneuli. The topics of discussion were Georgia-EU relations, Visaliberalisation, Associate Agreement, opportunities of DCFTA and succesful examples in this field. 

During the discussion Tea Kunchulia(representative of Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia), Irakli Tabliashvili (Media expert ), and Zurab Modebadze (representative of "Europe for Georgia) made presentations about the above mentioned topics. 

 

9-08-2016

On August 5th, in the framework of the project "Capacity Development of Civil Society in the Regions Essentially Populated with Ethnic Minorities in Georgia" Levan Mikeladze Foundation organized the media training for media representatives of Kvemo Kartli region. The meeting took place in Rustavi. the media trainer was Ekaterine pirtskhalava, who discussed the following topics: News writing techniques in modern journalism, the behaviour of audience and its infleunce on planning of media product, the impact of social networks on modern media and the related topics. After the media training the informative brochures about EU-Georgia relations, Visaliberalisation and Association Agreement were disseminated into Georgian, Russian, Azerbaijan, and Armenian languages.

On July 29th,  in the framework of the Project "Train the messenger- EU, Human Rights and Family Values" Levan Mikeladze Foundation held the working group meeting with Kvemo Kartli Muslim religious leaders. The meeting took place at Marneuli. 

During the meeting the invited experts made their presentations: Vano Chkhikvadze (EU Integration Programme Manager at Open Society Georgia Foundation (OSGF), and Vakhushti Menabde  (Associate Professor Law Major at Ilia State University).

The discussion was dedicated to Religious Freedom, Family Values, The rights of religous minorities in Georgia and EU. The project was implemented with the financial support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Georgia.

The second WG meeting of Energy and Environment on Efficient use of biomass Supply took place on 15th of July, in the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia. Internal expert, Ms. Natalia Shatirishvili and international expert Mr. Štefan Smrekovský presented the recommendations on the existential problems in the field. The meeting was co-chaired by Ms.Maia Bitadze (Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia) and Ms.Ekaterine baramidze (Project director of LMF). The meeting was held in the framework of the project "National Convention of the EU in Georgia".
