Preventing Radicalization within Azeri Community

On October 7, 17 and 22, The Levan Mikeladze Foundation organized four workshops in the Ferma village (Kaspi Municipality), in Bolnisi, in Marneuli and the Iormughanlo village (Sagarejo Municipality). These events were held within the framework of the project Preventing Radicalization within Azeri Community, generously funded by the Slovak Agency for International Development Cooperation (Slovak Aid).

It should be noted the active participation and support of the Administration of Muslims of All Georgia. Ramin Igidov, Sheikh of the Georgian Muslims Office and Yasin Aliyev, Mufti of Eastern Georgia attended the workshops.

The seminars were led by human rights expert Vakhushti Menabde and Islam theologian Kamran Mamedov. Their presentations discussed the essence of political and religious radicalization by considering several specific cases. In the end, the presenters answered the participant's questions.
