Within the framework of the project, "National Convention on the EU in Georgia" on April 7, 2022, the first meeting of experts working on external communication was held at the Hilton Garden Inn Tbilisi Chavchavadze.

The Levan Mikeladze Foundation, in cooperation with the Research Center of the Slovak Foreign Policy Association (SFPA), is implementing the project "National Convention on the EU in Georgia" with financial support from SlovakAid and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation.
Within the framework of the project, on April 7, 2022, the first meeting of experts working on external communication was held at the Hilton Garden Inn Tbilisi Chavchavadze. It was attended by experts in the field, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, and non-governmental organizations.
The draft of the concept paper on external communication prepared by local and Slovak experts was discussed at the meeting. Georgian expert Dimitri Tskitishvili spoke on the Concept of Georgia’s External Communication Strategy. Also a Slovak expert, Ondrej Gazovic shared with the participants' feedback on external communication in Georgia.
After the presentation, a discussion was held. Particular attention was paid to issues related to the situation in Ukraine, and Georgia's security prospects, taking into account the motivating factors, goals, and objectives of Russia's aggressive policy. The participants also discussed the enlargement of the Eastern European Partnership and Georgia's niche in the international community.
The meeting was moderated by Ivane Chkhikvadze, EU Integration Program Manager at Open Society Foundation Georgia.
