On July 19, the Levan Mikeladze Foundation organized a discussion at the Zugdidi City Hall. This event was held within the framework of the project “Promoting Conflict Transformation”, generously funded by the National Endowment for Democracy.

The project aims at promoting peaceful coexistence and building trust between Georgians, Abkhazians and Ossetians. Nearly 50 representatives of self-government, local NGOs, civil society and media organizations took part in the discussion in Zugdidi.

The discussion itself was supervised by the expert Natia Chankvetadze. During her presentation, she mentioned foreign experiences and discussed multiple perspectives of transforming Georgian ethnic conflicts.

This project features the upcoming discussions in Gori, Tserovani and Tbilisi.
