"Georgia and its Neighborhood"- A conference in Washington

On May 7, 2019, in Washington, at the Institute for Middle East9 Studies, a conference was held titled "Georgia and its Neighborhood." The event, which was organized by the Levan Mikeladze Foundation for the Caucasus Studies, the Georgian Embassy to the United States and the Georgian Association of the USA, was devoted to issues of foreign and security policy of Georgia. Representatives of think tanks and academia specializing in Georgia and the Black Sea region were in attendance. Among the panelists were former US ambassadors to Georgia W. Cortney and K. Yalowitz, Director of the Institute of Central Asia and the Caucasus F. Starr, expert of the Heritage Foundation L.Coffey, President of McCain Institute K. Volker, Director of the Penn Biden Center M. Carpenter, Senior Fellow of the German Marshall Fund J.Katz. President of the Levan Mkeladze Foundation for Caucasus Studies T.Mikeladze, the Ambassador of Georgia to the United StatesD. Bakradze and the Senior Fellow of the Central Asia - Caucasus Institute M. Tsereteli addressed the audience.
