On May 30, 2016 the Levan Mikeladze Foundation organized the Plenary Session in the framework of the project "National Convention on the EU in Georgia". The President of the Republic of Slovakia, H.E. Anrej Kiska has attended the session and made a welcoming speech. It is worth mentioning that this was the first time in the history of Georgia when the President of the foreign country participated in the event held by a Non-governmental organisation.
The goal of the meeting was to discuss the progress of the implementation of EU-Georgia Association Agreement. The speakers, who represented the relevant state ministries and local organisations, included Mr. Peter Brazani - Senior research fellow at SFPA, Mr. David Zalkaliani - The First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Mr. Archil Karaulashvili - The First Deputy State Minister on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Mr. Genadi Arveladze - The Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mr. Levan Dadiani - Oxfam Georgia Agriculture and Food Security Policy Program Manager, Mr. Giorgi Vashakmadze–Director of W-Stream Caspian Pipeline Company, and Ms. Ekaterina Baramidze – Development Program Director of the LMF. The conference was moderated by Mr. Irakli Menagarishvili - The member of LMF Board.
The representatives of state institutions, civil society sector and the diplomatic corps were among the honorable participants of the plenary session.
