The second WG meeting of Energy and Environment on Efficient use of biomass Supply took place on 15th of July, in the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia.  Internal expert, Ms. Natalia Shatirishvili and international expert Mr. Štefan Smrekovský presented the recommendations on the existential problems in the field.

 The purpose of the project is to institutionalize the public debate on the EU related issues based on the partnership of governmental, non-governmental and business organizations in Georgia to ensure facilitation and participation of the civil society in implementation of the Association Agreement; to strengthen the expert capacities on negotiations on EU integration in Georgia; to engage the general public in national policy-making on EU related issues through establishment of the sectorial EU communities based on the model of the National Convention on the EU Working Groups; To create the interactive and permanent information channel for all segments of the society. Transfer the Slovak know-how in the field of democratic institutions building and permanent expert dialogue. The project envisages public discussions and conclusion of relevant recommendations, which should assist the implementation process of EU - Georgia Association Agreement and should increase public awareness. The project cover various fields, one of which is the Energy and Environment Sector.
